Waimea is unlike any other area on the Big Island of Hawaii. Rolling lush pastures, rugged coastline, some of the most stunning hikes available on Hawaii, and the only place you will find the true Paniolo lifestyle with a working cattle and sheep ranch. Geologically speaking, it is also the oldest part of the island - home to the oldest of the five volcanoes that make up the Big Island. Explore by foot, by horse, or by car. There are also three marvelous farmer's markets, and one of the island's finest chefs delighting tastebuds at Merriman's, and a 490 seat cultural mecca at Kahilu Theatre. An evening at Kahua Ranch gives the whole family a taste of the best of the Paniolo, or Hawaiian cowboy, experience.
Enjoy five relaxing nights looking over a spectacular 180 degree ocean view in this generously donated Waimea vacation home. Located on the NW Kohala coast, the 1,300 square foot home sits on 1.5 acres on a quiet cul de sac.
The master bedroom has a king bed, full en-suite
bathroom and very large walk in closet with
a beautiful view of the ocean, Mauna Loa and Kona end of the Island, and sliding glass doors leading to a traditional Lani. The second bedroom has queen size bed and large closet, another beautiful view of Mauna Loa and a private Lani. The loft has a king bed and folding Hawaiian twin mattress that's great for kids 5 and up. You can easily sleep six without calling into service the pull-out sofa in the living room.
Think you want some private time in the house? There's also a private office off the second bedroom, and, of course, wifi and a television if that's what your family wishes for.
The sweet kitchen, which has breathtaking views and from which you can watch migrating whales and playful dolphins in the distance (best viewing is Dec - Mar), has a toaster oven,
microwave, and blender. The Lani has a charcoal BBQ for the fresh fish you'll likely get from Da Fish House.
Located just a few minutes north of the small village of Kawiahae, you will be within a 5-10 minute drive of the 5 best beaches on the Big Island and just 40 minutes north of the Kona airport.
The house can accommodate up to 6 guests.
Additional cleaning fee of $200 to be paid before departure. Blackout dates for all holidays. $295per night for extra nights. Based on avaialabilty. Expires one year from auction. Maximum capacity is 6 people. Please note: availability fills up fast so reserve your dates promptly.
So how can you get a tour of Google’s headquarters?
1. Work for Google
2. Have a super awesome friend who works at Google
Cecelia Wogan-Silva, director of Creative Agency Design at Google, has generously offered to take the highest bidder on a tour of the Google campus in Mountain View.
The goals of advertising might not have changed in the last 60 years –build a trusted and consistent brand image; shift people’s perceptions and behaviors; create work that surprises and delights – but the tools of the trade have exploded. The technology is game-changing, but it also requires understanding and skill. Cecelia Wogan-Silva is an expert on agile creativity, with a mission to fuel technology-driven creativity and help paint a new
landscape of intelligent, beautiful, digital advertising. Said another
way, she wants to share the magic of what Google makes, so that
advertisers can make magic on behalf of brands.
This package is a double hit. The winning bidder will have a private tour of Google, and that tour is with Cecelia. If you've wondered about how to use what Google has to offer, here's a chance to talk with someone deep inside. Afterwards, you will have lunch on campus and a visit to the Google Merchandise store.
Mutually agreeable date to be arranged with Melanie Shulman.
